Envisioning Your Future

Envisioning Your Future

Similar to the visual vision board, writing to describe your vision of yourself in the future can be a powerful way to express and declare what you value most and will prioritize.

Not sure yet? Not to worry, these prompts will help get you along the path to revealing where your heart and mind gravitate towards when you think of your most authentic and best version of you!

  • Set the vision.  Describe what would be the best version of yourself - how would someone describe you? How would you look, speak and spend your time? How do you feel as this person? Define what you have achieved as this person.
  • Create your affirmations.  What are the two to three positive “I am” statements you can say to yourself every morning to create and strengthen the new mindset muscle of the best possible you?
  • Build momentum.  Small tasks can add up. Think of the smallest habits or actions you can take that moves towards the direction of your vision, and demonstrates your affirmations. Write them down to help you remember to build them into your daily life.
  • Dare to Dream.  Set aside any time or budget constraints and free flow what your ideal life would look like - personally and professionally. If helpful, describe it as a day in the life.
  • Be your own hero.  Answer the questions “if I had no fear, I would …” and “if I could teach the world one thing, it would be…”
