It's time to simplify for a happier life

The first week of August is Simplify Your Life Week, but we're going to make it the theme for the month.

As the summer wind downs and we start preparing for back-to-school and work schedules and throwing ourselves back into a busy routine, it's a good time to think about how we might want to change things up to allow ourselves to feel less stressed and frantic.

This starts with analyzing how we can simplify our life. We've created some daily journaling prompts to help you tackle one bit and one area at a time. Spend just 5-10 minutes each day to ponder and complete these statements (or modify them as you see fit):

Sunday - "One thing I will cancel or quit doing to slow down is..."

Monday - "Today, I will be more mindful during..."

Tuesday - "Do I have a hard time saying no to others?"

Wednesday - "I will change up my Wednesday evenings by..."

Thursday - "If I had only 1 week left, this is how I would spend my time: ____"

Friday - "One space that I would like to declutter is..."

Saturday - "This week, I got too worked up about..."

You see, these writing prompts address your time commitments, mind and physical clutter, and boundaries. When you simplify to make time and space for the important things, you can live a more balanced and happier life.
