The Winter 2021 Edition Subscription Box is here and we are excited to tell you the theme and the contents! First, some background on how we came up with the idea. Well, we figured that it might be another COVID winter, and spending time outdoors will be a nice and healthy way to pass some of those wintery days.
Additionally, most of you may know about our love for nature, and our commitment to donating a portion of all online sales to 10,000 Trees. The forest is a magical place, and not only do we want to continue planting new trees for future generations, we thought we would bring that theme to this season’s box.
Therefore, all of the products included in the Winter box have some connection to trees and the forest. Ready to learn more?
- Woodlands Journal
This is a brand new product and the feature item in the collection. The leatherette journal is covered in a wonderful wintery forest scene, photographed by the talented Jenny Frear. The colours of the picture and the way the trees stand in the landscape made this the perfect cover for our new journal.
There is a brown vegan leather strap that adds warmth, but also hides a buckle and a pen loop! We’ve been told time and time again how useful it is to have a pen loop attached to the journal.
The Woodlands Journal is retails for $26 and can be sold separately.
- Vintage Pine Grid Journal
Vintage meets modern in this flexible vegan leather journal. The cover is a plain, light brown colour, but flip it open and you’ll find a vintage pinecone pattern on the inside. The inner pages are 120 g grid paper, and we made it this way due to the numerous customer requests we received for grid paper.
- Woodlands Notecards Set
Stylish stationery is yours this season. We worked with a local artist to design and print a set of 10 flat cards that have a bunch of little trees at the top. We shared some design options on Instagram, and asked our viewers to vote for their fave. So, was your pick the chosen one?
The paper used for the cards is premium recycled matte paper, and the box includes 10 standard white envelopes, tied up with string.

- Cozy Headband
Keep your ears warm during a nature walk with this fashionable knitted headband. It is handmade by the owner of True North Subscription Boxes. We love supporting local small businesses, and actually, so do they. They also offer a subscription box filled with local products, as well as a candle subscription box.
- Timber Bit
This cute little wooden block features the word Inspire on it. We sourced it from Cedar Mountain, another local company. Put this block on your desk or your bookshelf as a reminder to inspire or be inspired everyday! We’ve had our eyes on these Timber Bits for a long time, and are so glad to finally include them in a subscription box.
